We are seeking resumes for a Senior Designer in our New Oxford, Pennsylvania facility.
Principle Accountabilities:
Applies advanced design skills in the creation of designs for packaging and/or point of service displays for new and existing products in accordance with PCA design and safety standards.
Evaluates customer needs and expectations and translates them into drawings, designs, and prototypes within the manufacturing capabilities of the plant.
Coordinates activities related to developing graphics, prototypes and samples, material availability, direction, troubleshooting, reviewing samples, testing, and redirection based on feedback and results.
Coordinates multiple design projects to successful completion by effectively managing time and resources.
Liaise with appropriate plant departments to ensure regular communication regarding project status, resource availability, design feasibility.
Develops designs and recommends materials and production methods that will meet customer requirements and most efficiently utilize existing plant facilities and equipment.
Creates or secures samples of designs for customer inspection, production orders and/or division operation.
Performs packaging and component testing, evaluates results, advises sales, manufacturing and customers of findings.
Evaluate existing customer or prospective customer packaging for possible improvement in style, function, appearance, cost and/or ease of packaging as directed by supervisor.
Conducts design reviews with customers.
Provides advance technical assistance to the Sales Representatives and customer service.
Provide training, guidance and support to designers.
Knows and follows policies and procedures of the company, shares information that would benefit other members of the team and finds ways to improve the delivery of service to our customers.

Senior Designer will work closely with the customer to address their design challenge and provide the right solution. The Senior Designer must embody PCA's business philosophy when interacting with customers by doing what's right for our customers, focusing on strategies that add value and support growth, and keeping the promises that we make.
Additional duties as assigned by management
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
5+ years previous experience with packaging required, with point of purchase display creation and design desired.
Must have strong working knowledge of Artios, Artios 3D, Adobe Suite required.
Must have strong working knowledge of production methods, printing methods, materials, styles, and standard design forms and retail usage of packaging required.
Must have previously demonstrated leadership/mentoring skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, structural engineering, or packaging.
Previous experience in project management preferred.
Experience in corrugated industry with a technical understanding of corrugated packaging design, cutting dies, converting machinery and printing preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to network and build relationships with individuals of various experience and corporate levels both within and outside of the company.
Solid financial and business operations analysis skills with the ability to identify opportunities for improvements.
Ability to quickly grasp the customer's current situation and their needs based on the current market environment and cross business objectives. Based on customer understanding, able to visualize and develop compelling design possibilities.
Ability to engage in rapid experimentation of multiple design ideas and ability to learn from failed design concepts.
Ability to be accessible, available and responsive to the customer and understand the customer's point of view. Ability to advocate for customer needs to others and create mutual agreement on project scope.
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
